Firstline Desk

There are no calls. Here is the argument for that.

Not “we prefer email”, and not a policy that bends for a bigger order. There is no voice call, no video call, no meeting, no workshop and no live session at any point before, during or after the sale.

Why

Every input to this product is a page you have already published. Your support-tier page, your response commitment, the roles you are advertising, the platform named on your own integrations page. A conversation cannot tell me any of that better than the pages themselves, and it cannot tell me anything the pages do not already contain.

What a call would add is scheduling, two calendars, a time zone, and an hour of my time on both sides of it — on a product priced at a fortnight of the problem it fixes. The price is low because the process is cheap to run. Add calls and the price has to move.

It also removes an asymmetry that does you no favours. In a call, the person who has done this before sets the agenda and the person who has not agrees to things at speed. In writing, you read the scope at your own pace, at whatever hour suits, and you forward it to whoever else has to see it before you spend money.

What that buys you

  • A lower price, because there is no hourly cost buried in it.
  • A fixed scope, published, that cannot quietly change in conversation.
  • No calendar. Nothing to book, reschedule, or sit through at a bad time.
  • A record. Every commitment made to you exists in writing, which is more than most calls leave behind.

What to do instead

  1. Read the scope. It is published in full on the pack page, and the price is on the pricing page.Five minutes.
  2. Read the worked example. It is a whole pack, not an extract, so it settles the “is this worth it” question faster than any conversation would.Ten minutes.
  3. Ask me anything, in writing, at [email protected]. You will get a detailed written answer the same working day.Same working day.

If your organisation genuinely cannot buy anything without a live conversation, this is not the right product for you, and I would rather say so on this page than waste a week of your time discovering it.

We turn the service tiers an MSP already publishes into a written first-line triage system — taxonomy, replies, escalation rules — delivered in ten business days without a single call.
